Ballina Shire set to support tiny house living

After years of advocacy efforts, Ballina Shire is now looking into ‘encouraging tiny homes in appropriate areas’ as part of its Future Housing Strategy that was adopted at the most recent Ballina Shire Council meeting. Greens councillor Kiri Dicker has been a clear supporter of this noting that ‘making it easier to live in tiny homes in appropriate circumstances is one way we can unlock instant supply of affordable housing for people on low and very low incomes.’

ATHA applauds BSC approach and looks forward to seeing Ballina adopt a tiny house friendly stance so that people can live in tiny homes on private property simply and affordably.
