ABC reports on one of the first people to live legally in a tiny house in Aus

As most of you know, Esperance Shire amended their planning policy to include tiny homes for permanent living last December, the first in the country to do so. This was due in part to ATHA’s Planning Policy Template that was distributed across Australia to local councils. We hope that because of Esperance, other councils can see an example of how to allow to option of tiny home living and adopt similar local laws.

ABC Radio Esperance interviewed Sue Daley our State Lead for WA and Lynda on this exciting news. The success of this planning policy change has also led to further consideration from Capel in Western Australia, Mount Alexander and Surf Coast in Victoria.
